Mall of the Emirates: Shopping, Ski Dubai and What to See

Mall of the Emirates is the Dubai mall with a ski slope inside. 630 shops, a Harvey Nichols flagship, a 23-screen VOX Cinemas, and Ski Dubai — a real indoor ski resort with real snow. It's smaller and more manageable than The Dubai Mall, and easier to do in half a day.

Ski Dubai

The Middle East's first indoor ski slope: five runs, a 400-metre blue, and a Snow Park with toboggan runs and penguin encounters. Day passes from 240 AED, two-hour slope access from 220 AED. All gear included. Even if you don't ski, the Chill Out ice lounge gives you the Alpine experience in a jacket they lend you.

Shopping

Harvey Nichols is the anchor luxury store — multiple floors of designer labels including some you won't find in Dubai Mall. Carrefour hypermarket for groceries and electronics. Dubai Pro Audio for a surprising DJ/synth selection. Victoria's Secret, Zara flagship, and the entire mid-range high street.

Family

Magic Planet entertainment centre (video games, bowling, bumper cars), Little Explorers edutainment zone (ages 3–12), and the massive Carrefour kids' section. Changing rooms and family prayer rooms on every floor.

Where to eat

P.F. Chang's (good American-Chinese), La Serre Bistro, Kempinski Hotel's restaurants (the hotel is literally inside the mall), and a classic food court. Après — the Alpine-themed bar overlooking the ski slope — is a Dubai institution.

FAQ

Can I just visit Ski Dubai without skiing?
Yes — the Chill Out ice lounge is a one-off entry, and the viewing gallery is free. Snow Park is open to non-skiers.
How do I get to Mall of the Emirates?
Metro Red Line to Mall of the Emirates station — the mall exit is inside the station. By car: free parking across all levels.
