Dubai Marina Walk: The 7 km Promenade Guide

Dubai Marina Walk is a 7-kilometre waterfront promenade lined with 200+ restaurants and cafés, surrounded by 50+ residential towers that make it one of the densest skyline sections in the world. The walk is flat, mostly shaded, and connects three districts: Marina proper, Jumeirah Beach Residence, and Bluewaters Island. Here's the full itinerary.

Where to start

Start at Marina Mall (Dubai Tram: Marina Mall station). Head east along the promenade — this is the quieter half with more Emirati-style cafés. Head west for the busier JBR end with the beach access, Ain Dubai (the world's largest Ferris wheel), and Bluewaters.

Breakfast or brunch stops

Common Grounds, Costa, 1762, Shakespeare & Co. for a sit-down meal. Local chain Project Chaiwala for cardamom chai and masala omelettes. Weekend brunches at The Scene (full English with a view) draw a line — book.

Water activities

Dhow dinner cruises leave from the Marina side at 20:00 (90–180 AED). Yacht hire from Xclusive Yachts, from 300 AED/hour. Jet ski rentals near JBR beach. The Marina Walk also has booking kiosks for desert safari pickups.

The JBR end

Beach access at The Walk, with changing rooms, loungers from local operators, and food trucks after sunset. Ain Dubai, the world's largest observation wheel at 250 metres, is a 15-minute walk further at Bluewaters.
