Dubai Weather and the Best Time to Visit

Dubai has two seasons: pleasant (November–April) and brutal (June–September). October and May are the shoulder months. Hotel prices, airfares and crowd levels track the weather closely — plan around them to spend less or avoid heat.

November to March — the main season

22–28°C daytime, cool nights, low humidity. Beaches are warm enough, pools heated. This is when you want to visit, which is also why hotel prices triple from a July low. Book 2–3 months ahead; expect 1,200–3,000 AED/night at mid-range hotels. Dubai Shopping Festival (mid-Dec to late Jan) brings extra discounts.

April and October — the shoulders

28–35°C days, 20–25°C nights. Still enjoyable but afternoons start to bite. Prices mid-range (800–1,800 AED), crowds lighter. The sweet spot if you want decent weather and lower rates.

May and September

35–42°C, humidity climbing. Pool water starts to feel like a hot bath. Hotels drop to 600–1,200 AED. Outdoor activities before 09:00 and after 20:00 only.

June to August — summer

42–48°C regular highs, 90% humidity by August. Life moves indoors — malls, cinemas, aquariums, Ski Dubai. Hotels drop to 500–900 AED, DXB airfares halve. Not ideal for beach, perfect for a short, cool indoor break at bargain prices.

Ramadan

Dates vary (10 days earlier each year — March 2027 approx). Daytime eating in public is restricted. Nightlife opens 20:00 onwards and runs late. Lower hotel occupancy but reduced tourist infrastructure during the day.
